Designed for a second store specializing in sake to encourage gift purchases and improve the brand's visibility on the street.

Paper shopping Bag

Traditional bags were not strong enough for heavy bottles, often leading to accidents like the bottom falling out in rainy weather.

Needed to balance a premium feel suitable for gifts with a brand image that represents "japan."

The bags were highly appreciated during the campaign, with the striking visual contrast effectively strengthening the store's identity.

personally contacted specialized manufacturers for beverage packaging and handled the entire process from obtaining quotes for the ceo to final printing.


Iconic Visuals


used a high-contrast palette of "adzuki" (brand color) and white with traditional japanese motifs, ensuring the brand is instantly recognizable when customers carry the bag.

Conclusion

This project taught me that a bag is an essential part of the sake-buying experience. After seeing accidents where paper bags failed in the rain, I realized how vital it is for a designer to empathize with the user's journey and proactively solve potential problems before they happen.
